The Kentia Palm is a popular houseplant because it has the classical tropical palm appearance: pinnate leaves and arching and drooping leaflets. They are expensive because like most palms they are slow-growing: it takes six to seven years to get a beautiful show piece plant like ours.
Our tip for the Kentia Palm is go big! They look wonderful when established and well worth the extra cost. Like most houseplants it will thrive if you treat it a little bit mean. Water sparingly and give it some space to grow and you will be rewarded with a wonderful specimen plant.
The plant is sold in a plastic grow pot. Add a decorative pot to complete the look.
